Geschichte

In 2013, a brand-new metal outfit arose, uniting well-known names from Lower Austrian metal stronghold St. Pölten and its surroundings. As early as September, AEONS OF ASHES had their first live appearances.

In autumn 2014, their debut album “Shutdown“ as well as their videos “Monocracy“ and “Remember My Name“ were released, the latter collecting more than 100.000 views on YouTube and therefore becoming one of Austria’s most successful metal videos ever.

Numerous club and festival shows in and around Austria were to follow. Amongst others, the band supported PARADISE LOST, DARK TRANQUILLITY, ILLDISPOSED, HAIL OF BULLETS or DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT.

In November 2017, their 6-track-EP “Impatience” was released. Two more videos followed, “Dying Lights” and the very explicit animal rights anthem “Crown of Creation”. Critics rated the great amount of time well-invested since the outcome were more diversified, more complex and also “deeper” songs.

In the sequel the band took their time to developing their songwriting process even further, playing live only on very special occasions. After headlining Metal Outbreak festival 2018, the local fanbase enjoyed a mighty performance at STP Metal Weekend as well as two special shows.

Currently AEONS OF ASHES claim to reinvent themselves to return to the stages of Austria and Central Europe in late autumn 2019, with both a new spirit and new material. Brace yourselves...
