Allegro Vivo Summer Academy ist part of the Allegro Vivo Festival in the Austrian region Waldviertel. Every year more than 500 young musicians join the festival from all around the world and take part in masterclasses with distinguished artists.

Geschichte

Allegro Vivo is a music festival for chamber music which takes place every year during august and september since 1979 in Horn, Lower Austria.
The festival consists of over 50 concerts in 28 locations all over the region Waldviertel. The locations include monasteries, castles and chateaus of high architectural and historical relevance. The Allegro Vivo Summer Academy offers 50 master, youth and children´s classes, which are attended by over 350 students from all over the world.

Approximately 350 students from various nations come to study with artists and professors, who teach at international musical universities and conservatories. The students have also the option to perform in concerts and exceeding performances are honoured in an award concert series.
