Aside from Nano- and Biotechnology, Geoinformation is considered the most important industry in the future. The School of Geoinformation at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (CUAS), offers a universal solution framework for many fields of application.
We educate experts and provide them with knowledge and skills that are currently in high demand. Thus, our graduates are able to analyze, simulate, optimize and visualize spatial scenarios for experts and decision makers. They have excellent and exciting international career opportunities within a broad spectrum of practical fields, such as natural hazard management, utility planning and optimization of infrastructural networks, location-based services, traffic modeling, regional and local planning. Utilizing advanced didactical means from personalized TEL, our degree programs concentrate on problem- and project-based education and applied research in small student groups. This guarantees individual career advancement and support in order to graduate successfully.
Our experience in educational, research and development activities lets us combine various scientific disciplines, such as Geographic Information Science and Multi-purpose Modeling Systems, with soft skills, such as Project Management, Business Communication or Legal Aspects. We have worldwide partners from academia and industry for our research projects. For that reason, our students have the opportunity to gain experience in international labor environments while they are working on their theses in the final semester.
