Geschichte

Our hotel offers a restful ski holiday in a cosy atmosphere, a winter fairy tale.
The name Maiensee comes from a lake that can be seen when the spring thaw is complete in May.
After a day of sport and outdoor enjoyment, guests are glad to go back to the Hotel Maiensee with its cosy, welcoming comforts complete with a warming open fire and an atmosphere that invites one to relax an take it easy. One cannot help noticing that this is a family-run business marked by a long tradition of hospitality and a passionate attachment to the surrounding natural world.

Ski in, Ski out – the car can take a holiday in the garage, from which one can reach the hotel without getting one's feet wet. Skiing fun starts on its doorstep. Thus, from the first to the last day of the long winter on the Arlberg, guests of the Maiensee can take advantage of this literally door-to-door service.

This feeling of homeliness extends beyond the snug seclusion of the rooms themselves to include the public areas of the hotel that exude a sense of frienliness and well-being. Thus, the Zirbenstube has a very special atmosphere that makes it one of the loveliest rustic palours to be found on the Arlberg.
