The Carinthian Celtics where founded under the name Carinthian Cardinals on the 16th of August 2004 as the first Lacrosse Team in Carinthia. After a long pause till 2013 a new board was elected and the Team was relaunched with as Carinthian Celtics. A lot of new players where interested in the sport and so the Celtics could chalk up a steady growth of players. With the help of some experienced returned players and a half year long rebuilding phase the Celtics joined the Austrian Lacrosse League in the year 2014.
