The Luke Andrews Band is a country-pop band based in Austria featuring singer and acoustic guitarist Luke Andrews, bass player Tom Traint, guitarist and keyboard player Stefan Haslinger and drummer Martin Weninger.
Luke writes music that provides the feel-good atmosphere after work or on a Sunday afternoon. Inspired by Jack Johnson with his relaxed guitar sound, Norah Jones’ romantic Jazz/Pop and the country influence of the Zac Brown Band, the easy listening rhythms and the catchy tunes are meant to carry the listener away from everyday life. Luke’s sentimental yet authentic lyrics, sung with his expressive voice, are telling stories taken from real life.
He grew up in a small village in Eastern Austria from where he joined his former bands and projects. Despite the shows at concerts and festivals that followed the charts success with his former Funk-Pop band, Luke (guitar, Singer & Songwriter, drums) launched his solo project in 2015. Taking the leap of faith at the beginning of 2016, he moved to London with his longtime friend, bass player TOM TRAINT and released his first single “Ordinary Girl”, which is featured on his debut-EP “World For You”.
Luke smiles, when he talks about the single-production “Something About Her” at The Chapel Studios – London – in 2016. It was recorded and mixed by one of the best-known producers in Europe STEVEN A. WILLIAMS, who worked with Sting, Eric Clapton, Britney Spears and many more. Simply Red’s keyboarder DAVID CLAYTON rendered a special touch to the tune and Dave Matthews Band’s photographer RENÉ HUEMER captured the most powerful moments of the studio work. The outcome is a romantic story on the bus “337” in London’s streets.
Luke has a dream and a clear goal – to connect people’s hearts with his music.
