Our charming lodge, in 2016 renovated, is situated at 1,350 meters above sea level and is located directly on the ski slopes and hiking trail of Ski Amadé.

WELCOME TO THE MANDLWANDLODGE!

Our lodge will be completely renovated in 2016. The lodge with only 9, all very large, rooms has a southern exposure and is located directly on the ski slope and hiking trail. Surrounded by old pine trees, surrounded by nature, situated on a small river, the lodge offers a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains! It really is a fairy tale!

The high position of the lodge ensures a holiday in the snow. The lodge is situated on the ski slopes and close to the ski lift. The ski bus leaves 50 meters from the lodge. Consequently, you do not need your car during your stay in our lodge.

The lodge is located in the largest ski area in Austria, 'Ski Amadé'. With just one ski pass you can enjoy this fantastic ski area. Every day create another wonderful journey. Ski Amadé with 270 lifts and 760 kilometers of slopes, is the largest ski area in Austria. From beginners to cracks, everyone will have a wonderful time. Ski Amadé is formed by five areas: Hochkönig (Mühlbach, Maria Alm & Dienten), Gastein, Salzburger Sportwelt, Schladming-Dachstein and Grossarltal. 90% of the slopes can be covered with artificial snow. The Hochkönig area where our lodge is located has about 150 kilometers of ski slopes, cozy restaurant on the slopes, good (child) skischools, fun parks, cross-country skiing, etc. If you stay only "our mountain", the Hochkeil, skiing is possible at reduced rates.

Upon returning from a wonderful day of skiing, we like to invite you three times a week for a lively après-ski. In good weather it takes place outdoors and is free of charge. On the other days you met in the bar / restaurant and warm you up by the wood fire. Taste our homemade cakes and drink a mug of mulled wine or hot chocolate “mit Sahne”. After the après-ski you can sit down for dinner in our cozy restaurant. End the day finally enjoy our wood-fired hot tub and spa.

Because of its location on the south you can enjoy all day sun. Sun beds and sofas invite to relax while the children play on the trampoline in the stream, in the sandbox, at one of our tree swings or with other children. In warm weather will also be a small pool certainly not lacking. Our terrace and restaurant are open all day during the summer months.

Do you want to track? You can! Several hiking trails start at our lodge. A hiking trail goes through our garden. Order a well-stocked picnic basket for a delicious lunch in the mountains. Nearby are many activities possible. With the free “Hochkönig Card " many activities are free of charges. In the surrounding of the lodge are many (sometimes free) activities such as: (outdoor) swimming pool, animation team for children, tennis court, (glacial) lakes, spa, (guided) hiking, paragliding, abseiling, (downhill) mountain biking, cycling, rafting, horseback riding , climbing, abseiling, golf course, with the lift in the mountains, gossip, museums, playgrounds, animals, Hohe Tauern National Park, Grossglockner pass, etc, etc.
