Nice rooms, friendly and effective cleaning staff, delightfully efficient building standards, wonderfully Teutonic door handles and a super convenient location (Westbahnhof, a major transit hub, is a minute's walk away), but unfortunately full of (usually North American, and more specifically fellow Usonian/'American') students that don't seem to understand that they're living in a city--not on a secluded university campus filled almost entirely with fellow party-going students. You'll know what I'm talking about when you hear them 'talking' (basically screaming) through the streets with zero regard for the time of day/night or the many people trying to sleep at such times in other buildings. If you can avoid getting a street-level dorm (Erdgeschoss), all the more power to you (not just because of the aforementioned students, but because there's a busy, lorry-frequented street right in front of the building as well and some people can't seem to drive without revving their engines all the bloody time or blaring music...sadly, this isn't exclusively a US dilemma). I get that it's a student's home (I'm one myself, of course) but it's just that: a single student's home. Once you leave the building, you're in a wonderful, European city - albeit not the loveliest district within it, if I might add - with many residents that would rather you behave like a normal, civilised, mature person, thank you very much. So, please, just be mindful of that. There's good reason why we Usonians get such a bad rap worldwide, and it's not just to do with our appalling political and foreign-policy decisions. But I digress...(a bit.) Apart from the noise pollution on the ground floor, I’d also like to mention that there was a rather intense ant infestation in my unit during my stay last year. Despite my frequent emails to OeAD asking for assistance, the problem never really went away, though it did lessen up slightly once my messiest housemate had finally left—when food scraps and alcohol spills were no longer left to ‘decompose’ on the floor or in the lower cupboards. After all she’d done for me and my more mindful flatmates, I seriously considered leaving a gift for the woman who usually - and so bafflingly resolutely - cleaned our flat. The job of the cleaning staff is to keep the building in good order, not to be picking up after man-babies oblivious to the fact that they’re living with other people who might want to cook in the shared kitchen too. (Well, so much for that digression!) So, if you’re still set on living in one of the newest dorms in the city (and don’t want a half-hour daily commute into it from the Seestadt - and trust me: you don’t), be sure to apply early and budget a bit extra for a single flat (Einzelapartment) on a higher floor, from which you’d be able to maintain your own level of cleanliness and enjoy the cityscape with pleasure. Sure, the Viennese will gasp at the rent you’ll be paying, but they’d do that with the cheapest option here anyway.

Boa opção de hospedagem para quem vai estudar ou fazer um estágio em Viena. O prédio fica ao lado da Westbahnhof, porém não se escuta barulho dos trens. A estação também conta com um shopping, e por conta do movimento constante, algumas lojas e mercados têm horários de funcionamento maiores do que o padrão da cidade. Nas ruas perto há vários mercados também, além de lugares para café-da-manhã.

結局お掃除に来てくれなかったのですが笑ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ 日本円だと一日5,000円てとこですが、キッチン用品、テレビ、シャワー、なにより部屋が広いので快適です！ Westbahnhof から近いので、観光スポットへのアクセスも良く、日曜日にも空いているスーパーがあるので助かります。
